9/11 and Rap ?

How many of us listen to RAP? Ok more specifically who still listens to Kanye West and 50 cent? I enjoy rap, but it is about as talentless as Ashlee Simpson is these days. Being witness to concerts and production studios I have figured out that rap is all about post-production. Have you been to a rap concert lately? Usually doesn't sound to much like the CD... but I digress.
I read this article:Fiddy bets he'll outsell West's CD in Dallas news. NOTE: I searched for this article, but for some reason the title on the web is "dsds"?? WTF?? And the one here.

So the powers that be, the ones in control have decided that 9/11 would be an AWESOME day to release two of the most talked about hiphop artists new CD's 50 cent's Curtis and Kanye West's Graduation. Why not go ahead and distract the public a little more from the events that happened on 9/11 6 years ago. Because the truth movement is getting closer and closer to disclosing actual information and why would we want to take a time out of our busy day on 9/11 this year while we are standing in line to buy the new albums to think about what happened 6 years ago and how many freedoms we've lost since then. I guess as long as they can get their new CD's the people will be OK. But I'm not OK.

Hell's Kitchen Winner...

After a short search I found this digg posting that I can believe. If take a look at the time this is posted 8:45 a whole 15 minute before the show I will gander that Rock wins. I basically have a 50/50 chance of getting it right. A lot better odds than most, but I will say I have thought Rock will win for a while, just because he is the most experience and if both of the two finalist do well on their performance tonight he will win. Bonnie started out as a nanny and I don't care how far you can come in 6 months othing can prepare you to run your own restaurant other than experience and she just doesn't have it. What she does have is cuteness and appeal. She is one of the easiest people to look at on the show and unfortunately hollyweird has a stigma of making sure people that are on TV are pretty, yes even on reality. Sucks but ugly people can't get you ratings... take a look at that short lived show Freaks and Geeks

48 Hours: Eye of the Beholder

48 Hours: Hard Evidence is a show broadcast on Discovery Times. Tonight I have become to disgusted with the set of events they have outlined for this show. Take not that there is another series called The First 48 Hours which is aired on A&E. Let me lay out a few basic points to this hour long show:
1) 3 boys were accused of gang raping another girl on July 5th.
2) This girl (Jane Doe) was not the one who turned them in.
3) The whole thing was video taped
4) She had already had sex with the three boys on seperate occasions the night prior to the alleged rape.
5) She voluntarily got naked in front of the boys asking them to have sex with her.

What really bothers me is they made a video and by the stupid grace of someone the kid left the tape at a friends and the friends parents found the tape and the ball started rolling from there into a full blown court case. Now while I was watching this video I noticed one kids name was Greg Heidel whose father is a deputy for San Bernadino? California, so I decided to google it thinking there would be plenty of other newspapers and press or atleast some press in some blog somewhere, but to my amazement I found nothing! I mean NOTHING. Well that right there is wierd enough for me to say hmmmm... an alleged gang rape but no news on it? Why not? Actually kind of baffling but I digress.
This Jane Doe girl is the one who made me the most livid. She as well as the parents of the accused make themselves out to be good people that would NEVER do anything like this and how appalled they are that this "gang rape" even happened. I myself was never in a 3some with 2 other dudes, but I have heard stories of peoples sexual romps and anyone who is willing to get naked and ask for 3 other people to have sex with them is hardly rape. Well part of her defense is that she was too drunk to consent. Well that may be the case, but in my experiences you don't cover yourself with honey and then wonder why a bear might have attacked you the next morning.... Anyways I will try a more coherent rant when I cool off....

Edit :
So the jury was 11 to 1 in favor of the boys on the account that in the video the girl was apparently consensual. The trial was a mistrial, but the problem is this one woman...notice "woman" who was convinced they did rape this girl. Now onto another fact:
The other jurors believed she was making motions and movements of acceptance(ie pulling the boys closer to her) that are consistent with someone who is NOT passed out or unconscious, but this "woman" decided that since she had(and I quote her her) "Her level of consciousness was not that of what I've ever seen of any normal sexual act.. ever." OK the first time I heard this I was like whaaa... and had to rewind and watch again to make sure I heard it right, but then there it was I did hear it right. So what I would like to know is how she has determined "normal sexual act" in her mind. Also she said "I've seen" so this is pulling from her own experiences! Now why in the world would she try to say that her reasoning for not going along with the rest of the jury would be because she herself was never witness(ie in person) to an event like this? Is she a porn star? NO so of course your views on sexual info is going to be limited coming into this case, but I don't think she needed to make that decision based on the fact that she's never "seen" anything like that happen before in a consentual manner, maybe I should send her some porn... ya think?

Look bottom line dont put yourself in the wrong place at the wrong time!
No one is a winner in this case, none of these people are innocent.. The boys ended up getting 6 years in jail when they got tried again, but here comes little miss Jane Doe again that got caught with what? Methamphetamines... that right people and if anyone knows someone who does meth they don't just stop, plus they are usually some of the biggest liars around. I will unfortunatly believe a rapist before I believe someone who is methed out... Anyways she is also suing them and a bunch of other people for 24MILLION dollars so she can go kill herself with a meth overdose. Don't say I didn't tell you.. told you so.

Scams and Scammers

I was watching American Greed last night on MSNBC and started thinking about all the evil people out there that get consumed by greed. I am amazed that people are able to get away with Ponzi Schemes, Pyramid Schemes, Investment Scams, and so much more. They end up basically taking investors money with promise of big returns and little or no risk only to end up skipping town on the investors with their money. Now the thing that amazes me is that even after having the IRS, FBI or SEC investigate these people they don't ever get in trouble. It upsets me, but I don't know where my feelings should lay, with the scammers themselves or the FBI for being so stupid as to not stop these guys or go after them. They don't do this because technically they are white collar crimes and any investment runs risks, but it shouldn't continue to happen the way it is.

People Are Smart.....

I have to laugh because this is the tag line of DiTech.com now and if you are one of the millions of people around the US that are in credit trouble why not get out of it by putting up a mortgage on
your house so you can be in debt for another 30 years. In my opinion I don't think DiTech is smart, much less the people that tend to get themsleves into debt tens of thousands of dollars or more. I recently found a book called Rich Dad Poor Dad that talks about finances and the such, but what I really took out of it is a few very simple key concepts:

1) We are taught from a young age in school to work hard and we will be paid well.
2) We are also never taught in school financial responsibility, so when we turn 18 and can get Credit it all sounds way to good! Free money? Sign me up!!
3) Have money work for you, don't work for money.. this takes proper learning and financial education.

Up until recently I was in this group of people I wanted to work for about a year and then try to buy a house and car with my lady and then have kids and so on. But more recently I discovered this is exactly what not to do! You don't start buying liabilities before you aquire assets and this is where most people fudge up. It's hard I know and it takes discipline to another level when we try to manage our money, but let's face it in this world of credit and 0% financing the market is setup for you to get in debt, unless you are part of the lucky few who have had financial education(always ongoing). That's why the rich get richer and the poor get poorer.

One last comment about this, I really believe that someone could win 1 million dollars tomorrow and without financial education they will tend to squander it all away anyways. I've seen it happen before and i'm pretty sure it will happen again.
